Odoo → TallyPrime, on your own PC

Run on Odoo. File from Tally.

DORON Tally Odoo Bridge keeps a TallyPrime company in step with your Odoo books. Ledgers, parties, invoices, payments, journals, VAT and stock arrive in Tally as proper masters and vouchers, the way your accountant or CA expects them. Edits are altered in place, cancellations follow, and every night the bridge checks that Tally still agrees with Odoo, ledger by ledger, so your accountant knows the books are right before they open them.

Windows 10 or 11 · TallyPrime · Odoo 16 and later: Odoo Online (Custom plan), Odoo.sh or your own server

Why teams run the bridge

Odoo runs the business. Tally is what your accountant, your auditor and the VAT and corporate tax filings work from. The bridge means nobody re-keys a voucher again.

⟳

Hands-off, on a schedule

Every few minutes, daily at a set time, or when you press Sync now. It starts with Windows and works quietly from the system tray. A big first sync shows how long is left.

✎

Edits and cancellations follow

Amend an invoice in Odoo and the same voucher is altered in Tally, never duplicated. Cancel it, and it is cancelled (or deleted, your choice) in Tally.

⚖

Checked every night

While you sleep, the bridge compares every ledger in Tally with Odoo. Green means the books agree; anything that doesn't match is flagged for accounts the next morning.

✓

You approve before anything moves

The bridge proposes how each Odoo account, party and document type maps to Tally. Nothing is sent until you review and approve.

!

Every issue in plain words

If Tally refuses a voucher, you see which one and Tally's own reason. The tray icon turns red and a Windows notification takes you straight to it. Fix it and retry; the rest of the sync carries on meanwhile.

🔒

Your books stay yours

The bridge runs on your PC beside Tally. It reads Odoo with a read-only login and your accounting data never passes through our servers.

Nightly books check

Your books, reconciled every night

A sync tool that only copies vouchers leaves you guessing. The bridge proves the result: every night it syncs, then puts each ledger's balance in Odoo beside the same ledger in Tally.

✓

Green means all good

The Dashboard's Nightly reconcile tile stays green while every ledger agrees, with when it was last checked.

!

A mismatch? You'll know

A ledger that doesn't match turns the tile red, puts a red dot on the tray icon and a Windows alert on screen, and lists it with both balances and the night it was first seen.

⏱

Set it and forget it

Choose the time on the Auto reconcile tab, next to the sync schedule. If the PC was off, it checks at the next start; Check now runs it any time.

What goes across

Everything posted in your Odoo books arrives in Tally as the matching master or voucher, so Tally's reports, VAT and bill-wise outstanding work as normal.

In OdooIn TallyPrime
Chart of accounts→Ledgers under the right Tally groups (bank, cash, duties, sales, purchase, expenses, fixed assets…)
Customers and vendors→Party ledgers with TRN, address and emirate, bill-wise on
Customer invoices, vendor bills and credit notes→Sales, Purchase, Credit Note and Debit Note vouchers with their VAT: standard-rated, zero-rated, exempt and reverse charge
Payments→Receipt and Payment vouchers settling the bills Odoo matched them with (Agst Ref, New Ref, On Account)
Journal entries, accruals, depreciation→Journal vouchers (or your own voucher types), with cost centres if you use them
Analytic accounts→Tally cost centres, with income and expense split the way Odoo's analytic distribution split them
Products, warehouses, units→Stock items, godowns and units
Receipts, deliveries, internal transfers, stock counts→Stock Journals with Odoo's quantities and values, lots and serial numbers; item lines on invoices and bills
Foreign-currency invoices and payments→AED vouchers with the foreign amount and rate in the narration, or full foreign currency in Tally if you switch it on
E-invoices→The e-invoice ID on the Tally voucher. Odoo issues and reports e-invoices; the bridge only copies them, so nothing is issued twice
Balances on the start date→Opening balances, bill by bill for parties

Three steps, once

A Tally partner or your own accountant can set it up in under an hour. After that it runs by itself.

1

Connect

Enter your Odoo site, database and the API key of a read-only user, then pick the Tally company. Both connections are tested on the spot. Tally on Cloud and remote desktops are supported.

2

Review the mapping

The bridge matches Odoo accounts and parties to Tally ledgers by TRN, by name and by close match. Check the proposals, choose the voucher types and rules, and approve.

3

Sync and reconcile

Bring opening balances for the start date, run the first sync, and reconcile. Then set the schedule and leave it to the tray.

Made for UAE books

%

UAE VAT, done properly

  • VAT ledgers set up as VAT duty ledgers in TallyPrime's UAE edition
  • Standard-rated, zero-rated, exempt and reverse charge, as Odoo booked them
  • Customers' and vendors' TRN and emirate; a January–December year
▦

Inventory your way

  • Accounts only, if Tally is just for the books
  • From Odoo: stock values exactly as Odoo has them
  • Or let Tally value stock its own way
⧉

Bill-wise and batches

  • Payments settle the invoices they paid in Tally's outstanding
  • Lots as batches
  • Serial numbers as batches of one

Your data stays with you

💻

On your PC

The bridge is a Windows app beside TallyPrime. It talks to Odoo over HTTPS and to Tally on the same PC (or your Tally on Cloud server).

👁

Read-only in Odoo

It signs in with the API key of a dedicated Odoo user that can only read. It never creates, changes or deletes anything in Odoo.

🔑

Keys kept encrypted

The Odoo key and any Tally on Cloud password are saved encrypted for your Windows account.
